Single-level switching at any depth from 1″ to 70″. Choose your mounting style, connector orientation, and material — each set includes everything except the 10-715 Precision Nipple, which determines your switching depth. Available in Polypropylene, Acetal, and PVDF Kynar for broad chemical compatibility.
Each model below is available in PP, AC, and KR materials. Click any model to select material and packaging options.
All models use the 10-782 magnetic reed switch as the sensing element. Common ratings apply across all 16 configurations.

Real-world examples of how design engineers specify one-level extended stem sets. Each scenario identifies the mounting style, material, and model best suited to the application.
An HVAC chiller OEM needs a low-water cutoff in their cooling tower basin. The tank lid is drilled and tapped with a 1-1/4″ NPT bung. Water chemistry is treated municipal water with mild corrosion inhibitors. The switch signals a PLC to shut down the compressor if water drops below the minimum circulation level. No relay housing needed — the PLC handles the load.
A standby generator manufacturer needs a low-fuel alarm in their day tank. Diesel fuel requires Acetal construction for chemical compatibility. The angle connector routes the lead wire away from the tank wall in a tight engine compartment. The switch activates a warning lamp and audible alarm on the generator control panel. Relay housing protects the connection in an outdoor enclosure.
A water treatment equipment builder needs a level switch in a sulfuric acid bulk storage tank to trigger the replenishment pump. PVDF Kynar resists the acid chemistry. The sealed adapter on the 10-105 provides redundant O-ring moisture protection critical in corrosive vapor environments. The relay housing accepts an optional solid state relay for direct pump control.
A commercial warewash OEM needs level detection in their bulk soap reservoir. The 2″ NPT opening is standard on their molded polypropylene tank. Polypropylene construction is compatible with soap solutions and mild alkaline cleaners. The 10-106 set's sealed adapter prevents soap residue from wicking up through the threaded connection. The relay housing allows field-installation of a solid state relay to control the soap metering pump.
A tank fabricator building custom polyethylene sumps needs level sensing without drilling and tapping threads. The 10-107 flange mount uses a hole-saw cut and flange nut — no threads required. This is common on rotomolded tanks where wall thickness varies and tapped threads may not hold. The sealed flange nut provides a watertight connection from outside the tank with no internal access required.
A plastics machinery OEM needs level sensing in their mold temperature controller reservoir but wants tool-free installation on the production line. The 10-108 pop-in mount snaps into a hole-saw cut — no threading, no flange nut, no tools. The wiring receptacle on top accepts a mating plug for quick connect/disconnect during machine assembly. Ideal for high-volume OEM production where assembly labor cost matters.
Any tank with mechanical agitation, recirculation jets, or rapid fill/drain cycles creates turbulence that can cause false switch actuations. The SS (Slosh Shield) variants add a baffle around the float that dampens wave action and prevents nuisance trips. Choose the SS version of any base model when the liquid surface is not calm — mixing tanks, plating baths with air agitation, or tanks with side-entry return lines.
An electroplating equipment manufacturer needs level monitoring across multiple chemical baths — acid copper, nickel sulfamate, and chromic acid. PVDF Kynar handles the full range of plating chemistries. Flange mount (10-107-KR) works on custom-fabricated polypropylene tanks; pop-in mount (10-108-KR) works on standard polyethylene drum liners. Both install from outside the tank — no worker exposure to bath chemistry during installation.
