Vertical-float reliability with side-wall wire exit — for tanks with no top access.

The 10-788-PP solves a specific tank configuration: vertical float operation is required for reliability, but the wire exit must be on the side wall — not the top. The 10-782-PP stem operates vertically, a 10-700-SS slosh shield protects the float from turbulence and debris, and a 10-700CA angle connector routes the 24" pigtail leads out through a side-wall pass-through. This is a different mechanism than Compac's split-float side mounts (10-785/787/786) — choose the 10-788 when top access is blocked but vertical-float reliability is non-negotiable.
Engineered specifications and field-service advantages — not marketing language.
Float travels on the stem under gravity — the most reliable configuration for critical level applications.
90° wire exit routes pigtail leads through the tank side wall without top penetration.
Protects the float from turbulence, debris, and cleaning spray.
Water, mild acids/caustics, detergents, plating rinses, and aqueous process fluids to 180°F continuous.
Angle connector, slosh shield, stem, and float all individually stocked for field service.

Compac application engineers help specify the correct level switch for your tank geometry, fluid chemistry, and operating environment — no obligation, no upsell.
A float level switch like the 10-788 is a point-level device: a float rides the liquid and actuates a magnetic reed switch at a set height, giving a simple on/off signal — no power, no firmware, no calibration. "Sensors" usually means continuous measurement (ultrasonic, radar, capacitive). ERECTA SWITCH targets reliable discrete-point control.
The 10-788 is used for pump start/stop control, high-level overflow protection, low-level dry-run protection, and tank or reservoir level alarms in OEM equipment. The modular ERECTA SWITCH system is built into laundry, HVAC, water-treatment, hydraulic, and chemical-handling machinery.
Choose the material to match the media: Polypropylene (PP) for general aqueous, acids, and bases; Acetal (AC/Delrin) for solvents, fuels, and hydrocarbons; Kynar PVDF (KR) for aggressive or harsh chemicals. Every ERECTA SWITCH model is offered in all three materials.
The 10-788 is point-level — it provides a discrete on/off signal at a set height. For multiple switch points, use a multi-level extended-stem set (2-, 3-, or 4-level) instead of a single continuous sensor.
ERECTA SWITCH offers vertical top-mount, bulkhead, and extended-stem configurations, plus side-mounted single-point models. The mount style is part of the model number — select the configuration that matches your tank geometry.
Point detection is repeatable and mechanical. The trip height on the 10-788 is set by the 10-715 Precision Nipple, ordered separately in 1-inch increments (1″–70″), so you place the switch point exactly where the application needs it.
